Smiley's CB Shop is an Out-Of-Warranty repair center for the following radios:  Cobra, Uniden, Magnum, Connex, Galaxy, Ranger, Midland, and General.  For any other radio, please call to see what we can do for you.

Can't stop by to get your radio repaired??  Don't fret!! We can help!!

Step 1: Download and print the Repair Authorization form.  Fill out ALL the information.  (If you don't have an application that allows you to view a PDF file, click here to download Adobe Reader from Adobe's website) Please write clearly and be VERY specific as to what the problem is.  The more info you give us, the better.  Without this information, it can take much longer diagnosing the cause of the issue, as well as delay shipment back to you.

Step 2:  Call 530-824-4005 for a Repair Authorization(RA) number.  Write that number in the space provided on the form.  Repairs will NOT be processed without an RA number.

Step 3:  Ship the radio to us at the address listed on the repair form using a sturdy box and proper packaging.  We are not responsible for items that are improperly packaged.  Print the RA number on the outside of the box, and make sure to include the Repair Authorization form.  Kindly remove your microphone, mounting bracket, and any other external items unless specifically instructed to keep those on the radio.  Due to our location, the only  parcel service we recommend using is United Parcel Service (UPS).  UPS delivers all our packages to a secure location, and we have never had an issue with them.  Packages shipped by the U.S. Postal Service will not reach us.

Step 4:  When your radio has been repaired, you will be contacted for payment.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal.  Please make sure your Repair Authorization form contains a number where you can be reached during our business hours. Once payment has been received, your radio will be shipped back to you via UPS, so make sure your Repair Authorization form lists a physical address.  We will e-mail you a tracking number so you can know when your radio will be received.

The work that is done to your radio is warrantied UNLESS the sticker on the side of the radio has been removed or tampered with.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  Tampering or removal of the warranty sticker voids the warranty on whatever repair was done. 

Calling to check on the status of your radio is not recommended(mostly because we could be helping other customers in the shop), but we do answer e-mails, and can quickly type off a text message to your cell phone.  For text messages, please text 541-850-9581.

We have been in this business for 10 years, and have done so by being honest and forthcoming to our customers.  Sometimes we get a radio in the shop that has been "modified beyond repair", and the cost of repair would go beyond the value of the radio.  We will notify you of our findings and let the option be up to you whether to repair it or to send it back to you.  We also won't fix something that's not listed on your RA form.  For example, if your meter light is out but it's not on the RA form, we will contact you first to see if you want it repaired.
